YOU ARE YOUR SAVIOUR
the Wisdom in your heart will show you the Way.
Christ Consciousness,
through the wisdom of Mother Goddess Sophia,
the Liberating Way of the original Christians.
The Kingdom is Within You

Virgin Mother’s Message
Welcome word from Our Priestess
We are a community of seekers united in our knowing that Christ resides in all humans, and this natural essence unfurls when we heal old wounds and learn to source our power from within. We centre the Great Mother, Sophia, and her living consciousness who guides us into liberation through the wisdom revealed in our hearts.
We understand the Mother has 10 000 faces and her ways are as diverse as Nature. So we respect and learn from each other’s personal path and inner knowing. Gnosticism is syncretic, meaning we do not enforce a prescribed religion or belief. Instead, we encourage you to trust your inner wisdom and let it guide you to the answers you need.
This will look completely different for each person. I have found jewels in Yogic Philosophy, Gnosticism, Somatics, Zen Buddhism, Transpersonal Psychology, Indigenous Shamanism, Sufisim, Daoism and many more. We encourage you to open your heart to experience all the wonderful diversity that the Mother has for you, and let the Way lead you into the gnosis of being united with the Divine.
Yours in Christos Sophia,
Mother Genevieve Akal
Our Alchemical Values
Principles for Empowerment
You are your Saviour or Guru
Where religion says we are redeemed by belief in an external God, we teach that God is within and we redeem ourselves by bravely facing our psychological shadows and integrating them into wholeness. We also don’t subscribe to hierarchy and rather teach that you have all the answers within you and it is safe to trust your intuition.
Nature is a Loving Consciousness and Our Guide
Where religion says Nature is unholy, we teach that Nature is our ‘Great Mother’, a living consciousness woven into our bodies who lovingly reveals our personal path to wholeness. We also teach that your path is entirely your own and you do not have to give the same name to this power or define it in the same way we do.
The Bible is an Archetypal Myth
Where religion sees the Bible as a literal document, we teach that it is a symbolic and mythological story pointing to an inner process of coming into the realisation of one’s natural and christed essence. There is also historical evidence to prove our view of the Bible as allegory.
The Body is the Key
Where religion says the body is evil, we teach the body is the holy temple, and learning to connect and listen to its wisdom brings greater spiritual liberation. We do this through somatic modalities and yogic techniques. Spirituality is also a physical process and when one’s nervous system is calm, one experiences feelings of wholeness and peace.
The Great Way Has No Gates
Where religion says there is only one way to God, we teach that all paths are sacred because the Creator’s Holy Spirit animates and expresses through all. Once you begin to trust your own path, a wonderful world of joy, purpose, authenticity and abundance opens to you. We are syncretic and inspired to teach from many ancient spiritual lineages.
The Mushroom is Our Eucharist
Religion partakes in the unalive communion of bread and wine to commemorate the unhistorical event of the blood sacrifice of Jesus. We partake in the original Eucharist, the holy psilocybin mushroom and other plant medicines, which bring us into a direct and unifying experience with the living consciousness of Our Holy Mother Sophia.
Our Darkness is Holy
Where religion puts pressure on people to behave perfectly and suppress one’s darkness because of a fabricated supernatural character called the devil, we teach that the path is messy and only effective when we give space to the dark, difficult and imperfect parts of ourselves. Our darkness is healed through acceptance and not denial.
The Serpent is the Holy Spirit
Where religion says the serpent is evil, we teach the ancient gnostic and yogic wisdom of Kundalini, the Divine Feminine energy found in our bodies and all of Nature. This energy moves in a wave, like a serpent, and the more freely we allow it to flow, the more it purifies and expands us into Christ Consciousness.
You are born Good
Religion teaches the psychologically fracturing doctrine of original sin; the idea that humans are born inherently bad and must beg a wrathful god to have mercy on them. We teach that humans are born inherently good and our ‘imperfections’ are part of the Creator’s design. This perspective results in a mentally healthy and thriving human.
