What Happens in a Circle Gathering?
Sophia’s Circle Empowers
you to be your own guru
through inner gnosis
Gnosis is your inner knowing, that instinctive ‘click’ that happens in your heart when you just know what is true for you. The heart calls us to live in our full power, expression and abundance, and following its voice is the highest act of devotion to divinity and your true self.
Our Core Values For Inner Gnosis
What we will experience in this one-year journey of transformation.
Gnosis Through Being Seen and Heard
We make space to experience a deep knowing when we bravely engage with ourselves and share our vulnerable truth in a safe community. This is not a top-down space where you listen to a teaching and never say a word. Rather, we create intimate circles, where everyone gets to speak and share what is arising for them. We feel it is through courageously speaking and witnessing each other where true realisation, healing and gnosis occurs. Some have referred to the circle as feeling like “Free Therapy”.
Gnosis Through the Body and Nervous System
The Body is our Temple and learning how to connect into what we physically feel and sense is the smartest way to heal and grow. Patriarchy has demonised the body but in truth it carries an intelligence beyond our comprehension. Matter or the body is often associated with the Mother Goddess and when we surrender to its wisdom it will heal and restore us. If our nervous system is out-of-balance, no amount of clever philosophies or spiritual rituals can transform us. The body is the root of our being, which is why we do somatic practices together to help us self-regulate and experience feelings of wholeness and peace. TRE (tension release exercises) is one of the modalities we use among many.
Gnosis Through Yogic Technology and Purification
Yoga is an ancient spirit science meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’, where one’s individual consciousness unites with universal consciousness and brings harmony between mind and body. Contrary to popular belief, yoga is not a series of physical exercises, although this is a small part of it, but rather an energetic technology for self purification. Through doing breath-work, mantra, mudra, movement, meditation and visualisations, we gently allow Kundalini energy, which is the Mother’s life force energy, to reveal unconscious parts of ourselves for acknowledgement and integration.
Gnosis Through Self-Awareness and Facing the Shadow
When we devote weekly time to ourselves and sharing our personal journey we begin to cultivate self awareness. We learn to see our lives from a third person perspective and notice where our subconscious ‘wounded’ shadow has us living in unfulfilling patterns. From here we lovingly encourage a process of shifting these limiting beliefs with a powerful modality called QEC (quantum energy coaching). This is where we rewire the false core belief into something positive and beneficial at the subconscious level of the mind. This brings deep gnosis and experiences of renewal and self-empowerment.
Gnosis Through Rooting in to Mother Nature’s Cycle
Sophia’s Circle is rooted in the chakra language of Kundalini-Chrism Yoga, an inbuilt rhythm for personal growth. The Great Earth Mother is a primordial body, and the way the annual life force energy moves in Her, is the same way it moves in us too. We go from the root chakra to the crown chakra as the Earth Mother moves from solstice to solstice. The knowledge of Kundalini-Chrism Yoga helps us to accept what is naturally happening and grow gently in divine timing.
Gnosis Through our Personal Myth
Sophia’s Circle is also rooted into the annual Myth Wheel. Just as the cycle moves through the chakra system, it also correlates to the psychological story architecture of The Hero’s Journey. The Story kicks off each year in March and comes to a close the following March. As we journey together we reflect on our own lives and identify the pattern of story happening in real time. We are walking in a living myth and when we learn to see ourselves as ‘actors’ experiencing turning points, we become conscious in the story and more equipped to make sovereign choices and create a more fulfilling personal reality.
Gnosis Through Knowledge and Perennial Wisdom
Through syncretic teachings we are empowered by wisdom that transcends all religions and speaks directly to the nature of things. We learn about; The many myths of the ‘dying and rising god’ as a metaphor for our own mythological journey, the suppressed history of the Goddess in the Middle-East and how Yogic philosophy gives us a comprehensive understanding of her life force energy, about how the loss of the Goddess has resulted in symptoms of Narcissism and Codependency, and many more explorations of sutras and teachings from various wisdom traditions.
Gnosis Through Creativity and Ritual
When we allow ourselves to draw, paint, dance or write freely we are moving in the gifts of the Mother’s Holy Spirit. When we let go of control and surrender to playing without pressure, we are often surprised by how profound the interior insights can be. This place of creative flow is fertile soil for our deepest inner truths to make themselves known. We encourage this play to spill out into your life where you create personal rituals and sacred spaces for your own evolution. In esoteric wisdom we often create something out of pure instinct, and later, we actually embody or become that thing. Our creations are an act of prophecy over our own lives.
Gnosis Through balancing Feminine & Masculine Energy
We are all born with feminine and masculine energy, but the world we grew up in with all its dysfunction and overwhelming expectations, has knocked this out of balance. We explore what constitutes these two aspects of the self and what areas we may need to support to come back into harmony. The mystics would call this ‘coming into the middle way’. When we harmonise these polarities in ourselves our being starts to feel whole, relaxed and in vibrational flow with life.
Gnosis Through Heart-Mind Connection
When we connect into our body and our being using the approaches above, we begin to hear our own hearts again. The mind becomes still and we make space to hear the whisper of our heartfelt intuition, our higher voice who leads us to walk in our authentic purpose and passion. We’ve been conditioned to doubt and question this instinctive voice but in truth, it is our greatest ally and the key to experiencing a life of great pleasure and fulfilment. The heart is the source of endless divine love and direction, and we learn to trust this holy space again.

“Genevieve has not only become a teacher, but a dear friend. Her genuine care and attention to detail, in regards to each of our lives, is deeply felt. Her work has awakened an attention and care to the cycles in my life. Thanks to our time together, I have been able to tap into a deeper level of pattern recognition through my work and unlock new layers of healing through it.”
“I was part of Sophia's Circle for a year and loved it. The circle is unique because Genevieve shares a lot of different practices and synchronizes it all into one, vast, expansive and inspiring practice in getting to know yourself deeper. Growing your connection with the earth and the divine in meaningful ways. It involves very practical tools but also metaphysical and spiritual insights. There are so many special people showing up again and again and it creates a beautiful community. The essence is to be in the space together and to allow yourself to be witnessed fully. I felt seen, heard and understood and it was healing beyond words. I can't recommend Sophia's Circle enough and hope everyone gets to experience this sense of belonging. From the bottom of my heart, all my love and gratitude.”
“For me, Sophia's Circle was a space of sisterly love, a space of sharing, understanding, listening, of honesty, vulnerability, laughter. A place to feel warmth, to feel received as you are, where you are. I deeply enjoyed the yogic and somatic practices, the journaling prompts and the overall creativity encouraging atmosphere. Our gatherings brought me more clarity about patterns in my life, put them into a larger perspective and we also worked on those patterns. Genevieve shares so much love and wisdom in this space. She is truly devoted to our Great Mother. I enjoyed her warm heart, her beautiful stories and teachings and I also appreciated her sharp mind, insights, questions and.. her humor 😀 I am grateful for the gift this year together was!”
“With tears of joy and gratitude, I write these words to try express what I feel after almost 12 months of circle sharing, guided by Genevieve. We are one in our oneness. We are one in our togetherness. We gathered in light and welcomed the shadows. We have shared tears and laughter. We have been under the magik guidance of a soul star. In reverence to you, dear Genevieve, for holding space, sharing your wisdom and for showing yourself with us in circle. I feel gratitude for all women in this sacred journey and I bow to Mother with and in Love.”
“I'm just wrapping up a 1yr Sophia Circle fellowship and relishing in the richness and depth of the experience! It was an honor to be in a space with sisters from all over the world who share a common love for the great mother and her teachings. Having weekly meetings proved to be a paramount pillar of support to help me navigate the ups and downs of both my human and spiritual journeys. This safe container not only allowed me but also encouraged me to express my most raw, real, and unapologetic self, during a time I needed it the most. I'm forever grateful for this experience, for Genevieve's wisdom and authenticity, and for all the connections made along the way!”
“At first I was drawn to Gen’s fierce bravery and provocative truth telling. The prophet in her called me in. Little did I know how soft and vulnerable and raw and mundane at times, the circle would end up presenting itself. Unfolding week after week breaking my barricaded heart open bit by bit. The sisterhood. The ritual of showing up again and again. The somatic movement and breath work we did that led me back into my body. The presence of mother in everything we did. In gratitude always.”
Participating in the Sophia Circle with Genevieve has been a transformative experience. Over the past year, I’ve deepened my connection to myself, Mother Earth, and various meditation practices. Genevieve's guidance helped us reclaim the language of Sophia, allowing us to shed shame and embrace a loving bond with nature and our true selves. The stories shared among my sisters enriched my journey, making each session a beautiful exploration of purpose and adventure. I am immensely grateful for this immersive experience and the community we built together. Thank you, Genevieve, for your wisdom and support.
