Gnostic Alchemy

Not in his Image

What book can I start with to understand Gnosticism? I often get asked this question and the only book I recommend is this one.

Like anything in life, Gnosticism has been misinterpreted by many and unfortunately the ‘main, broadly accepted narrative’ on the topic is distorted and lacking.

To add to this problem, so much has been written on Gnosticism and mostly from the perspective of academics. Meaning, they are speaking about something illuminated to the heart, with the limited faculties of the mind.

John Lamb Lash on the contrary is a formidable scholar but also, more importantly, a shaman. He has been touched by Sophia and actually experiences gnosis in his own life. To truly teach Gnosticism, one must be in the living gnosis.

JLL is also responsible for retrieving the Sophianic myth from the Nag Hammadi and other Gnostic codices. He spent years piecing together the story of our mother Sophia who is the earth. A story that was oppressed and hidden from us.

This book is the truest thing I’ve ever read and anyone wanting to know more about Sophia and the true nature of reality should read it.

Each page brings freedom.
